OFFICE MAKEUP: How to Look 8 Hours Fresh at Work | Cindyartha Aprilia

Ever wondered what kind of makeup you should wear to the office?
There are some essential do's and dont's when it comes to the type of makeup you should wear to work. You want to impress, but not overdo it.
Impressions are everything when it comes to progression in the workplace and from, whether we like it or not. Appearance ultimately will play a big part of overall impression you give.

My type-of-office-makeup is natural fresh. And the key is a perfect foundation, shape of eyebrows, waterproof mascara and shade of lipstick ;)

And here are my tips for how to look 8 hours natural fresh at work:

FACE
Although this might seem obvious, some people still continue to ignore the fact that perfect foundation is key to nailing your office makeup.
Because of my type of face (combination to oily), i prefer to use matte foundation like L'Oréal Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation (104) or Revlon Colorstay Foundation (Natural Beige). Be sure it is long-lasting however, as I dont want to be the one nipping to the bathroom every hour to re-touch my makeup. Ah ya, dont forget to set all foundation with the powder ya. I use Revlon Touch & Glow loose powder (55 Cream Beige) or Make Over Perfect Cover Two Way Cake (02 Coral)

EYES
I believe thay smoky-eye or the cat-eye has their own time and place. Essential to office look is to wear a natural eyeshadow that sweeps effortlessly over the lids. Matte eyeshadow like ELF Mad for Matte Eyeshadow Pallette is perfect for this look. But for me, i often skip eyeshadow for my office look hihihi.

Another important tips for eyes - no heavy eyeliner! I recommend to use brown eyeliner like Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner or Mizzu Eyeliner Pen, then placing it in the outer corner of your eye.

I can go to office without eyeliner and eyeshadow, but no with mascara!
Before I apply mascara, I give my lashes a good curl to make my look more wide awake. I always use a waterproof mascara (like Maybelline The Magnum Volum Express Waterproof Black Mascara or Maybelline Lash Sensational Waterproof Mascara), so I will highly recommend that on a daily office look. It wont smudge and give me another panda eyes.

LIPS
Lip color should be one that goes with the look on the face. With lip color, you have a little bit more freedom to express yourself than you do at work with eye colors, as long as they are not too distracting. When I select a shade for wearing to the office, I go for natural shades that blend well with my original lip color. I choose nude matte lipstick to color my office look, like Tarte LipSurgence Matte Lip Tint (Exposed), MAC (Kinda Sexy), and Bourjois Rouge Velvet Edition (Happy Nude Year). These product is very comfortable for me. Although they are matte lipstick, it is not heavy on daily use and do not make my lips dry. I avoid bold color of lipstick like bright red, red vampire, and neon pink - I still dont wanna be a center of attention because those heavy color.

CHEEKS
Blushes are a great way to conceal the unwanted marks on your face. Go for the natural shades like peach or pink coral color and it will work wonders for face. I recommend Emina Cheecklit Cream Blush (peach & coral), Make Over Blush On (03 - Promiscious Peach), and Tarte Amazon Clay 12-hour Blush (Bashful), they look truly impressive.

And here is my office make-up :)

I think that's all. Hope you learned a few office makeup tips.
